I recently had to replace my motor vehicle due to a road accident where my vehicle was written off.
Through a good friend I was referred to Richard Lipinski from My Next Car Buying Advocacy to assist me with sourcing an appropriate quality vehicle within the budget I had available.
Richard sat down with me and worked through a comprehensive and thorough checklist of my requirements including:
- Must haves
- Nice to have and
- Not acceptable features
He recommended that any chosen vehicle should have an RACV or similar comprehensive test prior to purchase which in my case revealed a number of items needing fixing which I would not have picked up.
Richard also outlined costs which needed to be factored into the budget e.g. Stamp Duty on the purchase, amongst others.
He then prepared a list of available suitable vehicles based on his extensive knowledge of the strength and weaknesses of various brands and models. Richard then sourced four different brands of vehicles that met my specifications and we again met and worked through my preferences.
Having done that Richard negotiated with a private seller, arranged the tests, ensured that everything necessary was attended to, handled all the paperwork and thus provided an outstanding service right up to the point of taking delivery of the car.

This included some valuable aspects particularly on the cost of maintenance (which varies significantly from brand to brand) or the safety side.
In particular if you are buying a used vehicle unless you are very knowledgable on the variations of a range of brands and models there are many important aspects to take into account and using someone of the calibre of Richard to advise and assist will be invaluable in making a sounds choice.
