I only wish I had found Richard Lipinski and My Next Car Buying Advocacy earlier!
I had not owned a car in several years, due to Melbourne’s excellent public transport system, riding an electric bike, being a member of Car Next Door and Go Get, and using Ubers and taxis. However, once my only grandchild had turned two, I knew having my own car with a toddler seat installed would enable me to have more flexibility, and a whole better range of options available for us to both enjoy. I had already done heaps of research in preparation for this time, but that only left me feeling overwhelmed with choices. So I procrastinated and nothing happened.
Then someone told me about MNCBA. After reviewing Richard’s website, and reading the testimonials, I contacted him in the hope that he could help me come to a decision after weighing up all the pros and cons of the cars I had researched.
This was the turning point. Once we had our first meeting – during COVID this was by Zoom, I immediately relaxed knowing I was in good hands. Richard quickly cut to the chase. His expertise helped me navigate through the quagmire of possibilities.
Between us we narrowed down the choices. A car where my grandchild would be comfortable and safe, but also a car that I would enjoy driving on the open road, taking occasional trips around Victoria. It needed grunt and guts. After test driving a few cars, I am now the proud owner of a 2021 VW Polo 85TSI in a fabulous limestone grey metallic colour.
It is certainly zippy and fun to drive and looks very smart. Since I have only had the car a few weeks, I haven’t yet experienced driving out of Melbourne and testing the car over 80kph. And I can’t wait to do that.
Without Richard’s professionalism and guidance, I would most likely still be dithering.
